How To Stop That Itch
Itching is one of the most common problem furkids here experience. Instead of rushing into anything that claims to fix itches, it is important to diagnose the root cause. So that you can nip it from the bud. Here are some of the common causes of itching and our recommended fixes.
Dryness & Shampoo ingredients? GROOMING TAB
Almost every commercial pet shampoo is designed for monthly bathing and is too harsh for frequent regular use. This may cause itching due to dry skin. We’d recommend using shampoo once a month and the Grooming Tab for weekly baths between. Grooming Tab deep cleanses without any surfactants so it retains the protective layer of the skin. Harsh pet shampoos may also contain skin-irritating ingredients that leaves a residue even when rinsed off. Due to gravity, these substances tend to gather at the belly, paws, armpit folds and behind the ears causing itching in these areas. The Grooming Tab is able to effectively remove such residues to relief the itch.
Bacterial or Yeast infections? AYU HERB PACK, FUR-GROWTH SHAMPOO & GROOMING TAB
For such skin conditions, you may use 2 – 3 Grooming Tabs simultaneously. If the condition persist, you may use the Fur-Growth Shampoo without dilution and leave on for about 5 minutes before rinsing. The Ayu Herb Pack is especially effective against serious bacterial or yeast infections.
Pests? SKIN GUARD
Skin Guard is your best prevention against parasitic itch. Spray it on your furkid’s bed for extra protection. Sometimes chemical flea/tick treatments can also cause skin itchiness or irritation, among other risks.
Itching in specific spots tend to be due to shampoo residues or other causes. If the itch occurs all over the body, it is more often than not an allergy issue. The first step to an allergic reaction is when a food allergen gets into your blood. The presence of probiotic bacteria regulates that process. If your furkid is often on antibiotics or is lacking nutrition, take Cosmoslact to grow your furkid’s own unique strain of probiotics.
➕Soothe the itch with Skin Lotion
Most of the recommended treatments can only be used once a week, but the Skin Lotion can be used daily, as and when it is needed to soothe itches. Besides soothing that itch, it can also heal rashes, hot spots and even encourage hair growth on bald spots. The Skin Lotion also keeps the skin and fur clean, and while it does not contain any pesticide, it creates an environment that is unfriendly to fleas, ticks and mites to hang around.
